How to add users to XAM

This document explains how to add or invite users to XAM, assign one of the built-in roles (admin, dq admin, tester, dq tester), and common best-practices.

Via the web UI​

  1. Sign in with an account that has admin permissions.
  2. Open Settings (usually available from the top-right menu) and choose "User management".
  3. Click "New"
  4. If user already exists in other project, click "Assign User", if this is new user click "Create new user"
  5. Fill existing form. Choose a role from the dropdown (admin, dq admin, tester, dq tester).
  6. The user will receive an email with link to app. Metabase (Reports) login should be created automatically.

Notes:

  • If your installation uses SSO/LDAP, user creation may be delegated to the identity provider.
